The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week, March 13

ROCK HILL, S.C(TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne's Eric Dickinson has been selected the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Anthony Malik of Coker has been selected the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for matches played Mar. 6th-Mar. 12th, the League announced today.

Dickinson, a freshman from Charlotte, North Carolina, dominated for the Bears last week leading his team to an undefeated 2-0 week against conference foes Wingate and Brevard. Against Brevard, Dickinson recorded six goals and three assists to account for nine of the Bears' 20 points in the 20-6 victory. He also posted two caused turnovers, one ground ball, and a shot on goal percentage of 75.0 percent. Against Wingate, he recorded five goals, one assist, six ground balls, and another caused turnover. In total, Dickinson had 11 goals, four assists, seven ground balls, and three caused turnovers. Dickinson leads the League with 25 goals on the season. The honor marks his first Player of the Week selection this season.

Malik, a senior from Knoxville, Maryland, spent an hour in goal this past Saturday. During that hour, Malik conceded only three goals while making eleven saves. His efforts gave him a victory in goal this week as Coker defeated Brevard 5-3. Malik finished the week with a 78.6 save percentage. The honor marks his first Player of the Week selection this season.
