GREENVILLE, S.C. (theSAC.com) – The top-seeded Carson-Newman Eagles defeated the No. 2 seed Wingate Bulldogs, 79-70 on Sunday (March 4) afternoon to win the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament Championship. With the win the Eagles secured an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional.
