Up from seventh in last week's poll is the preseason SAC favorite and 2017 national runner-up Carson-Newman. The No. 4 Eagles have sprung back from a slow start to the season to dominate their two most recent matches. In their home contest with Lees-McRae, the Eagles poured on seven goals while shutting out the Bobcats. Junior Allie-Anne Blackburn completed a hat trick in the win and added an assist. Only one shot on goal was attempted against Carson-Newman. The Eagles took nationally-ranked No. 21 Lee to overtime in their thrilling 3-2 victory.

At eighth is Queens University of Charlotte. Riding a three-game win streak heading into conference action, the Royals went 2-0 on the road for the week. They gave a loss to Tampa by way of a 2-1 win for the SAC team. Reigning SAC AstroTurf Offensive Player of the Week, Lulu Phan started the scoring in the 20th minute of the match.
