The South Atlantic Conference Posts Three Teams in the NCAA Regional Baseball Rankings

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference has three teams ranked in the latest NCAA Division II Regional Baseball Rankings, the NCAA announced today.  Catawba is the highest-ranked team in the League at No. 5 in the Southeast Region as it is currently 34-17 overall.

 

Tusculum came in at No. 6 in the poll with its 35-16 overall record and at No. 9 in the rankings is Newberry at 33-19-1 overall.

 

The top six teams in each region earn bids to the NCAA Division II Baseball National Championship.

 

The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Baseball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
