Former Bulldog King Drafted No. 10 Overall in MLB Draft

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) -- Former Wingate University standout Seaver King was drated No. 10 overall by the Washington Nationals in the First Round of the 2024 Major League Baseball Draft this evening. King, the 2022 SAC Freshman of the Year, spent two seasons with Wingate before transfering to Wake Forest to complete his collegiate career. 

King was a two-time First Team All-Conference selection in 2022 and 2023 and had a 47-game hitting streak for the Bulldogs which was seven shy of an NCAA DII record before moving on to Wake Forest. He was All-Conference at second and third base and hit .411 during his sophomore season with 11 HR and 53 RBI.
