The South Atlantic Conference Announces Men's Lacrosse Annual Awards

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) Lenoir-Rhyne long pole midfielder Collin Lett was voted the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Year, while teammate Myles Moffat was voted the Conference's Freshman of the Year.  In addition, Bears' head coach Greg Paradine was tabbed the Coach of the Year, the SAC office announced today.

Lett, a senior from Greensboro, N.C. anchored a Bear defense that ranked second in the conference in scoring defense, allowing just over nine goals per game. Individually, Lett leads the conference and is tenth in the NCAA Division II in caused turnovers per game, averaging 2.06 per game. He also picked up 56 ground balls and caused 33 turnovers. Additionally, on the offensive side of the ball he scored five goals and had three assists for eight points.

Moffat, a midfielder from Airdie, Alberta, Canada, scored 28 goals and dished out 24 assists for 54 points during his freshman campaign. He ranked ninth in the conference in goals, sixth in assists and fifth in points. He scored multiple goals in nine games this season, including scoring a season-high five goals against defending national champion Limestone.

Paradine earns his third career coach of the year honor after guiding his squad to a 15-1 record overall and an undefeated mark of 8-0 in League play.  His Bears are currently ranked No. 3 in the country and are No. 1 in the NCAA South Region Poll. The Bears won their third-straight and fourth overall South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship. Lenoir-Rhyne is currently riding an 11-game winning streak heading into the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship as the No. 1 seed.

Joining Lett on the first team were attackers Joe Budeo and Ben Corrigan of Lenoir-Rhyne and Adam Golia from Lincoln Memorial. Midfielders Eric Dickinson from Lenoir-Rhyne, Billy Kopsky from Lincoln Memorial and Conor Gronbach from Wingate.

On the defensive side of the field were defenders Chris Gazzio of Wingate and Jacob O'Connor and Tyler Bane from Lenoir-Rhyne, and in goal was Ryan Crompton from Lenoir-Rhyne.
