Tusculum’s Scott Lucky Named Men’s Soccer Player Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Tusculum men's soccer player Scott Lucky has been named South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week announced league officials Tuesday. The honor marks the first of Lucky's career as he joins teammates Lance Moore and Bruno Conceicão as the third Pioneer to be so honored this season.
A native of Orangevale, Calif., Lucky put together his best
statistical week to date as a Pioneer last week, scoring his first
goal as a Pioneer and tallying four assists for a team-high six
points. The 6-0, 175-pound midfielder equaled a career-high with
his two assists in TC's 3-1 win over no. 5 Lees-McRae, feeding both
of Anteneh Lemma's two goals in the match, including the
match-winner midway through the first half.
With his four helpers last week, Lucky assumes the team lead with eight assists this season, and is currently third on the club with 10 points through 11 matches. The junior midfielder also leads the black and orange in minutes played, having missed a total of six minutes thus far for the Pioneers.
Tusculum continues its season with a SAC matchup at Mars Hill on Wednesday night at 7 p.m., and then return home for a non-conference tilt against Bryan College at Pioneer Field on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The SAC Player of the Week is determined by a vote of the sports information directors of the league.
