The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Men's Soccer Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the third week of the 2021 season. Limestone forward Tristyn De Laaf was named the offensive player of the week, while Limestone goalkeeper Johann Hipper was named defensive player of the week.
De Laaf, a senior from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, led the Saints to a pair of SAC victories against Anderson (4-0) and No. 9 Lenoir-Rhyne (2-0). He scored two goals and had two assists for the week, recording a goal and an assist in each game for six points. His goal against Lenoir-Rhyne was the game-winner.
Hipper, a sophomore from Munich, Germany, posted two clean sheet victories for Limestone last week. He managed a defense that not only did not allow a goal against Anderson, but they did not allow a single shot. He then made six saves in the Saints' 2-0 win over No. 9 Lenoir-Rhyne.
