SAC Cross Country Runner of the Week Awards Go to Queens’ Duchampt, Brevard’s Cook
Queens junior Felix Duchampt and Brevard sophomore Hannah Cook have been voted as the SAC Cross Country Runners of the Week after strong showings at weekend events, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Queens junior Felix Duchampt and Brevard sophomore Hannah Cook have been voted as the SAC Cross Country Runners of the Week after strong showings at weekend events, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
SAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week | Felix Duchampt, Queens
Duchampt finished fourth overall and first among Division II runners at Saturday's UNC Charlotte Invitational, posting a time of 25:16. The performance was his second top-five finish of the season.
Paced by Duchampt, Queens finished 15th among 27 teams in the competitive field.
SAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week | Hannah Cook, Brevard
Cook was the top Division II performer and placed third overall at Saturday's Greensboro Invitational, finishing with a time of 19:25. Her finish was 23 seconds better than the next-fastest Division II competitor.
Behind Cook – last year's SAC Freshman of the Year – Brevard finished sixth in the event's team standings.
