ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Four South Atlantic Conference women's tennis teams were named in the NCAA Division II southeast region rankings. Wingate takes the No. 1 slot and Tusculum is seeded No. 3. Queens and Lenoir-Rhyne are within the top-9 as the No. 5 and No. 8 seeds, respectively.

The Bulldogs (20-1, 9-1 SAC) are on a six-match win streak, including taking home the SAC Championship title over nationally and regionally-ranked Tusculum. Wingate moved up four spots nationally to be ranked No. 10 across Division II.

The Pioneers (17-3, 10-0 SAC) were the lone team to beat Wingate during the season, but fell to the Bulldogs in the SAC Championship. Tusculum maintained their No. 17 national ranking.

The Royals (14-4, 8-2 SAC) lost to the eventual tournament champion Wingate in the semifinals, but held in the ITA national rankings at No. 21.

The Bears (18-5, 7-3 SAC) dropped their match in the semifinals to top-seeded Tusculum, yet rose to No. 37 in the country.
