ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate, Queens and Tusculum have each earned bids into the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Southeast Region Championship, the NCAA announced on Tuesday (May 7).
Nationally ranked No. 10 Wingate earned the No. 1 seed in the region tournament after winning the South Atlantic Conference's automatic bid and they will host the opening round of the tournament May 13-14 at the Wingate Tennis Complex.
No. 16 Tusculum earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament and Queens, ranked No. 20 nationally, was picked as the No. 5 seed in the region tournament.
No. 4 North Georgia and No. 5 Queens will open the regional on Monday (May 13) at 1 p.m. at Wingate. The winner will advance to play No. 1 Wingate on Tuesday (May 14) at 1 p.m. No. 3 Tusculum will take on No. 6 Flagler at 1 p.m. on Monday at Columbus State. The winner of the match will take on the winner of the match between No. 2 Columbus State and No. 7 Emmanuel on Tuesday at 12 p.m.
