The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for events during Feb. 4 through Feb. 10. Lenoir-Rhyne earned the track honors with Paiton Fair and Wingate garnered the field honors with Hannah Hinson.

A senior sprinter/middle distance runner, Fair won the 800 meter dash at the JDL College Team Challenge in a time of 2:15.37. The mark, for the Newton, N.C. native, tops the previous school record and puts her in 17th across Division II, while earning a NCAA provisional time. This is Fair's first Track Athlete of the Week honor this season.

A senior thrower, Hinson won the weight throw at the JDL College Team Challenge, posting a mark of 16.70 meters (54' 9.5") in a 19-person field. The Gates, N.C. native defeated NCAA Division I student-athletes and SAC competitors in the event. This is Hinson's second Field Athlete of the Week honor this season.
