The Lenoir-Rhyne University Soccer Field, also known as Bears Field, underwent dramatic chances for the 2008 season. The field got a total makeover and will be surrounded by the Irwin Belk Track that includes a state-of-the-art mondo surface and lights. Permanent bleachers and a new press box are in the plans. The facility is part of the larger Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex.
Due to the large number of student-athletes competing in the 2021 SAC Men's and Women's Track & Field Championships and in order to comply with state, local, and institutional guidelines, fans and spectators will not be permitted inside the Mortez Athletic Complex during the championships on Saturday, April 24 or Sunday, April 25.
