Limestone's O'Malley and Lincoln Memorial's Edds Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Limestone's Zach O'Malley was named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Baseball Player of the Week, while Lincoln Memorial's Eli Edds was named Varsity Gems Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played during week nine of the 2023 season, the Conference office announced today. 

O'Malley, a senior outfielder from Greenville, S.C., led the Saints to a SAC series win over UVA Wise last week. He batted .556 with two doubles, four runs scored, and eight RBIs. He had a .636 on-base percentage and a .778 slugging percentage for the week as well.

Edds, a freshman right-hander from Maynardville, Tenn., had an impressive outing last week for the Railsplitters as he led them to a 3-0 win over Coker. He went six and a third innings, allowing just one hit and no runs, while striking out six batters.
