Tusculum's Floeth Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Tennis Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum's Leonie Floeth has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week ten of the 2023 season, the Conference announced today.
Floeth, a sophomore from Toenisvorst, Germany, led the No. 46 Pioneers to four wins last week, including a 5-2 win over nationally ranked No. 10 Newberry, a 4-3 win over No. 15 Wingate, and a 6-1 win over No. 34 Catawba. Floeth went 3-0 in singles play at No.1 and 4-0 in doubles play at No. 3. She won two of her three singles matches in straight sets.
