South Atlantic Conference Indoor Track and Field Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors
The South Atlantic Conference had 15 teams represented and a total of 76 athletes in the Southeast region who gained this honor.
NEW ORLEANS — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the All-Region honorees for the 2018 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field season.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earn All-Region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the regions' top-3 relay teams. The South Atlantic Conference had 15 teams represented and a total of 76 athletes in the Southeast region who gained this honor.
Earning All-Region honors for both men's and women's teams were Anderson, Carson-Newman, Coker, Lenoir-Rhyne, Mars Hill, Queens and Wingate. The Tusculum men's team also picked up All-Region honor.
Queens had the most individual honors, with 12 athletes from the men's team and 11 athletes from the women's team.
On the men's side, a total of 559 earned All-Region honors from 124 different institutions, and a total of 521 women from 120 different institutions picked up All-Region honors.
