Seven SAC Soccer Teams Earn United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches announced on Thursday the College Team Academic Award winners, recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.

A total of 783 soccer teams (295 men, 488 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2021-22 academic year. Of that total, 145 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized.

The following South Atlantic Conference men's soccer teams earned the Team Academic Award:

Coker University, Michael Antoniewicz, 3.28 
Limestone College, Eric Alsop, 3.47 
Lincoln Memorial University, Dale Parker, 3.55 
Mars Hill University, Gregg Munn, 3.13 

The following South Atlantic Conference women's soccer teams earned the Team Academic Award:

Carson-Newman University, Simon Duffy, 3.66 
Catawba College, Nick Brown, 3.52 
Coker University, Michael Donald, 3.27
