Men's Basketball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Coker guard Xavier Moultrie has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week 12 of the 2025-26 season, the Conference announced today.
Moultrie, a junior from Columbia, S.C., led the Cobras to a 2-0 week with wins over Catawba and Mars Hill. In the win over Catawba, Moultrie went 7-of-12 from the field and 4-of-6 from long range to pour in 22 points to go with six rebounds, two assists and two steals. He followed that with 20 points on 7-for-11 shooting and five boards in the win over the Lions. For the week, he averaged 21 points per game while shooting 60.9 percent from the field, 58.3 percent from long range and 87.5 percent from the charity stripe while pitching in 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

Women's Basketball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson guard Ciara Harris has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week 12 of the 2025-26 season, the Conference announced today.
Harris, a senior from Alexandria, Va., helped the Trojans to wins over Newberry and Carson-Newman last week. For the week, she poured in 24.5 points per game and was a perfect 16-of-16 from the free throw line, including four makes in the final minute to seal the win, against Carson-Newman. On top of the scoring, Harris added 7.0 rebounds per game and 2.0 assists per game to go with 10 total steals and two total blocked shots and was 23-of-24 from the charity stripe.

Men's Lacrosse
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during week one of the 2026 season. Tusculum's Ben Royer was named the Offensive Player of the Week, Wingate's Graham Tillett was named the Defensive Player of the Week, while Anderson's AJ Rush was named the Specialist of the Week.
Royer, a junior from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, led Tusculum to an 18-17 victory over Emmanuel on Saturday by scoring the game-winning goal with just over two minutes left in the game. For the day, Royer posted a career high six goals and added four assists to give him 10 points on the afternoon. He had three man-up goals and added a pair of caused turnovers and a ground ball.
Tillett, a senior from Huntingtown, Md., led the Bulldogs to a season-opening 17-11 win over Florida Southern on Saturday. He anchored the Bulldog defense, piling up four caused turnovers and a pair of ground balls and helped hold the Mocs to just three goals in the first three quarters.
Rush, a junior from Chantilly, Va., dominated at the X in a crucial 19-10 victory over No. 17 North Greenville. Rush won 13 of 16 faceoffs, good for an 81 percent win rate, and added 10 ground balls to go with a goal and an assist on the day.

Women's Lacrosse
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during week one of the 2026 season. Anderson's Ellie Wilkins was named the Offensive Player of the Week while Wingate's Kathryn McCabe was named the Defensive Player of the Week.
Wilkins, a sophomore from Chuluota, Fla., went off in the first three games of the season for the Trojans. She started the year with five goals on nine shots in a tough 11-10 loss to nationally ranked Alabama Huntsville and followed that with back-to-back four goal performances against Coker and Belmont Abbey. For the week, she totaled 13 goals, two assists and 15 points to go with a pair of caused turnovers.
McCabe, a junior from Alpharetta, Ga., anchored a WU defense that held #3 Florida Southern to 11 goals, in a tight 11-10 setback in a top-20 early-season showdown Sunday. The reigning SAC Defensive Player of the Year piled up six ground balls, four draw controls and five caused turnovers on the day for the #16 Bulldogs.

Tennis
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Coker's Salome Sierra has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Tennis Player of the Week and Lincoln Memorial's Ethan Hirons has been named the Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week one of the 2026 season, the Conference announced today.
Sierra, a senior from Cali, Colombia, helped the Cobras to a 7-0 win over Columbia College on Saturday. Playing at second doubles, Sierra earned a decisive 6-0 victory. She followed that up with a straight sets (6-0, 6-0) win in second singles over Aniya Sims.
Hirons, a sophomore from Split, Croatia, helped the Railsplitters to wins over West Virginia University and King on Sunday. Playing at third doubles, he went 2-0 with wins of 6-0 and 6-1. In second singles against West Virginia Wesleyan, Hirons won 6-5, 6-4 and he added a 6-2, 6-2 win in first singles over King.

Men's Indoor Track & Field
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the fifth week of competition. Carson-Newman's Amine Kasmi earned the track honor while Wingate's Micah Walker earned the field honor.
Kasmi, a senior sprinter from Brussels, Belgium, finished second in the 60m prelims, 6.85 seconds, and took second in the final at 6.80 seconds, a new PR. While in the 200m, he set the facility record at the Corps Physical Training Facility with 21.09 seconds to take first place, which is also the fifth-fastest time in Division II this year.
Walker, a junior thrower from Hamilton, N.J., set a new school standard in the weight throw at the JDL Fast Track Camel City Sprints meet Friday, February 6 in Winston-Salem. His mark of 17.80 meters is the second-best throw in the SAC this season.

Women's Indoor Track & Field
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the fifth week of competition. Tusculum's Jahzara Hart earned the track honor while Lenoir-Rhyne's Mackenzie Pringle earned the field honor.
Hart, a senior sprinter from Raleigh, N.C., broke her own school records in both the 60 meters (7.31) and 200 meters (23.93) at the VMI Winter Relays, winning both events and climbing to second in Division II in the 60 and third in the 200.
Pringle, a junior jumper from Columbia, S.C., earns the weekly honor for the second consecutive week. Her triple jump at the Carolina Classic was a new school record mark of 12.24m (40-2.00) and that jumps ranks 11th in the nation.

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson's Braeden Harrison was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Baseball Player of the Week, while Lenoir-Rhyne's Kellen Gradisar was named Pitcher of the Week for games played during week two of the 2026 season, the conference office announced today.
Harrison, a junior outfielder from Spartanburg, S.C., helped the Trojans to a 6-0 start by going 13-of-19 at the plate and hitting .684 with a .759 on base percentage. In the six wins, he scored nine runs, hit two home runs and drove in a staggering 17 runs. He walked six times and stole a pair of bases. He had four multi-hit games, including three with 3+ hits.
Gradisar, a junior from Missouri City, Texas, helped the Bears complete the sweep of Columbus St. on Sunday. Gradisar tossed six innings and allowed just five baserunners while striking out a pair of Cougars who were voted as the Preseason favorites in the Peach Belt Conference.
