Men's Basketball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum guard Bryce Jackson has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week 13 of the 2025-26 season, the Conference announced today.
Jackson, a graduate student from Murfreesboro, Tenn., averaged a SAC-best 27.5 points per game last week to lead Tusculum to a pair of league wins. In Tusculum's 88-74 win over Mars Hill, Jackson scored a season-high 29 points to go along with five rebounds and six assists. He shot 8-of-14 from the floor with three 3-pointers and went a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line. He followed with 26 points in an 89-73 victory over Newberry. He went 10-of-11 from the charity stripe and also contributed eight rebounds, five assists and three steals. On the week, he went 20-of-21 from the free throw line (95.2%) and averaged 5.5 assists and 6.5 rebounds per contest.

Women's Basketball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial forward Kamil Collier has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week 13 of the 2025-26 season, the Conference announced today.
Collier, a senior from Nashville, Tenn., recorded her 15th and 16th double-doubles of the season in matchups against Carson-Newman and Anderson, averaging 18.5 points and 13 rebounds across the two contests. She currently ranks fifth nationally in double-doubles. She posted 20 points and 14 rebounds in a 62–51 victory over Carson-Newman, followed by 17 points and 12 rebounds in a 58–42 win against Anderson. For the week, she shot 43 percent from the field and added 2.0 assists per game and 1.5 steals per game.

Men's Lacrosse
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during week two of the 2026 season. Anderson's Radyn Badraun was named the Offensive Player of the Week, Coker's Lennon Connolly was named the Defensive Player of the Week, while Anderson's Adin Laughlin was named the Specialist of the Week.
Badraun, a senior from Mission Viejo, Calif., helped Anderson dispatch of top-20 Embry-Riddle on Saturday. In the win, Badraun had two goals and dished out five assists for seven points in the 18-9 victory. He surpassed 200 total career points in the game, becoming just the second player in AU program history to do so.
Connolly, a senior from Dacula, Ga., helped the Cobras to a 2-0 week helped the squad allow just eight goals per game in the two victories. For the week, he totaled seven ground balls, six caused turnovers and added a goal against Emmanuel.
Laughlin, a junior from Wooster, Ohio, helped the Trojans in the victory over Embry-Riddle on Saturday by stopping 14 shots and allowing just nine goals in the 18-9 win over a nationally ranked foe. Laughlin finished with a 60.9 save percentage on the day.

Women's Lacrosse
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during week two of the 2026 season. Anderson's Ellie Wilkins was named the Offensive Player of the Week while UVA Wise's Chloe Huston was named the Defensive Player of the Week.
Wilkins, a sophomore from Chuluota, Fla., earns the award for the second straight week as she helped the Trojans to wins over Lander and Mount Olive last week. Wilkins netted 11 goals in the two matches and added two ground balls and three draw controls. She scored seven of her team's 16 goals against Lander and netted four of the Trojans' 10 against Mount Olive.
Huston, a sophomore from Chippewa, Pa., helped the Cavs to a 2-0 weeks by totaling nine ground balls, 13 draw controls and seven caused turnovers as UVA Wise allowed just six total goals in the two contests. Offensively, Huston chipped in two goals and two assists.

Tennis
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Claudia Vallejos has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Tennis Player of the Week and Anderson's Vicent Fenollar has been named the Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week two of the 2026 season, the Conference announced today.
Vallejos, a junior from Seville, Spain, led #23 Wingate to a 2-0 week, going 2-0 at #2 singles and 2-0 at #3 doubles. Vallejos teamed with Mariia Bobrovska for a dominant 6-1 win at third doubles at D1 foe Queens, while prevailing 7-5, 7-6 at #2 singles in Wingate's 7-0 road win. Vallejos and Bobrovska cruised to a 6-0 win at #3 singles against Belmont Abbey, while Vallejos capped her week with a dominant 6-2, 6-2 win at #2 singles.
Fenollar, a junior from Alicante, Spain, led the Trojans to wins over Citadel and USC Sumter last week, earning the first D1 win for Anderson under head coach Joey Eskridge. In that win, Fenollar won at second doubles by a score of 8-5 and then claimed a 6-4, 6-4 victory at first singles. He followed that up with a 6-3 doubles in over USC Sumter and a 6-0, 6-0 sweep in the top singles spot.

Men's Indoor Track & Field
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the sixth week of competition. Carson-Newman's Rylan Jordan earned the track honor while Lenoir-Rhyne's Tobechukwu Nwokocha earned the field honor.
Jordan, a sophomore sprinter from Johnson City, Tenn., captured first place in the 60-meter dash with a personal-best time of 6.67 seconds. His mark ranks eighth in Division II this season and is the second-fastest time in Carson-Newman program history. Jordan also posted times of 6.71 seconds in both the prelims and semifinals, showcasing consistency en route to the title.
Nwokocha, a graduate student jumper from Nigeria, won the long jump at the VMI Winter Classic with a leap of 7.76 meters (25-5.50). His mark is among the top performances in the SAC this season and sits just .02 meters shy of his own school record set earlier this year.

Women's Indoor Track & Field
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the sixth week of competition. Carson-Newman's Lovelyne Larrame earned the track honor while Wingate's Assiya El Hafyan earned the field honor.
Larrame, a graduate sprinter from Cormeilles-en-Parisis, France, broke two school records at the Music City Challenge. She posted a time of 24.58 seconds in the 200 meters before following it up with a 55.39-second performance in the 400 meters, finishing fourth overall. Her 400-meter mark ranks 19th in Division II this season and is among the top performances in the SAC this year.
El Hafyan, a junior jumper from Casablanca, Morocco, won the high jump at the JDL ASICS Sound Invitational with an NCAA provisional mark of 1.67 meters. Earlier this season, she cleared 1.70 meters, which stands as the top mark in the SAC this year.

Baseball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Catawba's Matthew Connolly was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Baseball Player of the Week, while Wingate's Chad Harvey was named Pitcher of the Week for games played during week three of the 2026 season, the conference office announced today.
Connolly, a junior catcher/first basemen from Salisbury, N.C., hit .500 across four Catawba wins, recording eight hits with a double, a home run, eit RBI and four runs scored for the 11th-ranked Catawba Indians. He recorded three multi-hit efforts including a 3-for-5 showing against Barton with a home run and four runs driven in.
Harvey, a junior from Mooresville, N.C., shut down one of the nation's top offenses on Friday, tossing a complete-game four-hit shutout at #5 Lenoir-Rhyne. Lenoir-Rhyne scored 43 runs in its first three games of the year, but Harvey allowed just four singles on the afternoon, striking out six with just one walk. Harvey set down six in a row twice during his seven-inning performance. Harvey moved to 3-0 on the season with a 1.06 ERA, leading the SAC in wins and strikeouts while ranking fifth in ERA.

Softball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Catawba's Grace Flynn was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Baseball Player of the Week, while UVA Wise's Olivia Shockley was named Pitcher of the Week for games played during week two of the 2026 season, the conference office announced today.
Flynn, a junior infielder from Kernersville, N.C., hit .667 across six games with four doubles, four home runs, nine RBI, 14 runs scored and three stolen bases in Catawba's 6-0 week. She recorded at least one hit in each game with five multi-hit efforts. She added an RBI and a run scored in each of the six contests and posted a 1.429 slugging percentage. Her final stat line for the week was 14-for-21 in the batters box.
Shockley, a sophomore from Wytheville, Va., helped the Highland Cavaliers to a 6-0 record last week. In the circle, Shockley went 2-0 in three appearances. She totaled 13 innings and allowed four earned runs with 12 strike outs. For the week, she posted a 2.15 ERA and threw a complete game, 3-hitter to open the week.

Beach Volleyball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Carson-Newman's Camryn Ehlers and Addie Smith were named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week for games played during week one of the 2026 season, the conference office announced today.
The duo posted a perfect 3-0 record as Carson-Newman won their first three matches of the 2026 campaign. The pair defeated Huntingdon, University of Mobile and Florida Memorial over the weekend, all in straight sets. They wrapped up a strong weekend with a dominant 21-1, 21-4 throttling of Florida Memorial. No opponent scored more than 14 points against Ehlers and Smith last week.

Golf
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its Golfers of the Week for tournaments played during the first two weeks of the spring season. Wingate's Alfie Storer was named the Men's Golfer of the Week, while fellow Bulldog Amely Bochaton earned Women's Golfer of the Week honors.
Wingate senior Alfie Storer tied for fourth place at one-over-par 217 in LMU's Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate. He shot back-to-back 71s after an opening round 75. Wingate is No. 6 in the most recent NCAA Division II Scoreboard powered by Clippd power rankings for the 2025-26 season. Seven of the 18 teams who competed in this year's Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate are listed in the top 25.
Wingate sophomore All-American Amely Bochaton won her ninth career individual title with a seven-under-par 209 in the Battle at Hilton Head Monday and Tuesday. She outdistanced Lander's Kajsa Lindqvist by a whopping 11 shots. She had a six-under-par 66 in the second round and a three-under-par 69 in the third session. Bochaton led the 'Dogs with 11 birdies, including six in her error-free second round. Wingate finished the 54-hole competition at 882, 20 shots better than No. 16 Lander in second place.
