Three SAC Teams Earn Bids to NCAA Baseball Regional
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The 2025 NCAA Division II Baseball Championship field was announced Monday evening, with three South Atlantic Conference teams earning bids to the Southeast Regional. Catawba earned the No. 1 seed and hosting duties, while Lenoir-Rhyne picked up the No. 3 seed and Carson-Newman claimed the No. 7 seed.
Catawba (41-13) will host the Southeast Regional #1 in Salisbury, N.C., and will face No. 8 seed Lander in the opening round on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The other matchup in the Salisbury pod features No. 4 seed Young Harris and No. 5 seed North Greenville, with first pitch set for 7 p.m.
Lenoir-Rhyne (38-16) and Carson-Newman (34-20) will compete in the Southeast Regional #2, hosted by No. 2 seed Belmont Abbey in Belmont, N.C. The Eagles open play against Belmont Abbey at 3 p.m., followed by the Bears taking on No. 6 seed North Georgia at 6 p.m.
Both regionals will follow a double-elimination format and begin on Thursday, May 15.
