Tusculum’s Colclough Named D2Football.com National Special Teams Player of the Week
LIBERTY, Mo. --- Tusculum College's Ricardo Colclough has been named D2Football.com National Special Teams Player of the Week announced College officials Monday morning.
Colclough, a 6-0, 180-pound senior from Sumter, S.C., had a tremendous afternoon in Tusculum's 65-10 victory over Morehouse College. The defensive back returned two kickoffs for 189 yards, both resulting in touchdowns. The first was a school-record 97-yard return and the second return went for 92 yards. The 189 yards is also a Tusculum record. He was also named the South Atlantic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.
Colclough also recorded a pair of interceptions against the Maroon Tigers for a second straight time, tying a school record. In last year's meeting, Colclough also picked off a pair of passes against Morehouse.
The Pioneers (2-1) will be off this week as they prepare to
travel to NCAA Division I-AA Charleston Southern University on
Sept. 27 for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
