Lenoir-Rhyne’s Clarke Earns Second-Team All-American Honors In Football
Hickory, N.C. - Tim Clarke, a junior linebacker on the Lenoir-Rhyne Football Team, was named to the 2004 CollegeSportsReport.com NCAA Division II All-American Second Team.
Clarke, a native of Durham, North Carolina, and a graduate of Northern Durham High School, is the first gridiron All-American for the Bears since the 2000 season when Curtis Wright and Jameil Surratt earned Lutheran College All-American second-team honors.
Clarke was named the 2004 South Atlantic Conference Defensive
Player Of The Year last month after leading the league in tackles
with 125 to go along with six sacks, three forced fumbles and an
interception.
