South Atlantic Conference announces four-game football television package
ROCK HILL, SC - The South Atlantic Conference has announced a four-game television package, beginning with this week's Carson-Newman at Newberry contest, Commissioner Doug Echols announced today.
"We enjoyed tremendous success with South Atlantic Conference football on television last year, and wanted to continue to showcase the talents and extraordinary achievements of the fine student-athletes who participate in the South Atlantic Conference" Echols said.
The selected games are Carson-Newman at Newberry on Saturday, September 30; Tusculum at Lenoir-Rhyne on Oct. 7; Presbyterian at Catawba on Nov. 4 and Mars Hill at Wingate on Nov. 11.
The games will be available on Time Warner Cable outlets in the Charlotte region of North Carolina, reaching approximately 400,000 homes, as well as Charter Cable Systems in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson market, which has an additional 300,000 homes. Charter Cable subscribers in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson market will also be able to view the games on video on demand.
The games will air on Thursdays following the game on Time Warner outlets in the Charlotte region. In Mecklenburg, the games will air at 12:30 p.m. on channel 9. The Metrolina system, including Salisbury and Albemarle, will carry the games at noon on channel 19. In Gastonia, the games will air on channel 9 at 12:30 p.m. In Shelby, the games will be at 1 p.m. on channel 9. Rockingham will have the games at 1 p.m. on channel 15, while Monroe will have the games on channel 9 at 12:30 p.m.
The games will be available on channel 10 on Charter Cable throughout the Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson market.
The games will air in Greenville, Spartanburg & Anderson at 8 pm on Wednesdays and 4 pm on Wednesdays in Asheville.
Additional channels and markets could be added at a later date.
The games will be produced by Mark-It Productions out of Boiling Springs, S.C.

Additionally, the game will also be part of the NCAA Division II/CSTV broadband package, and will be available live via video streaming over the World Wide Web. To ensure the best viewing available, fans will need to have a high-speed Internet connection and the most up-to-date version of either Windows Media or Quicktime Player.

Three South Atlantic Conference games were selected by the NCAA to be part of the NCAA Division II CSTV broadband package. In addition to Saturday's Carson-Newman at Newberry game, other games available will be Lenoir-Rhyne at Carson-Newman on Oct. 12, and Mars Hill at Wingate on Nov. 11, which is also a regionally televised game.
