Two SAC Fooftball Games Available To Watch Over Internet
ROCK HILL, SC -- South Atlantic Conference football fans will have the opportunity to watch two league football games this Saturday over the Internet.
The Wingate University home football game versus Carson-Newman College on Saturday has been selected by the NCAA Division II President's Council and the Media Advisory Group as one of four broadband streaming video NCAA Division II Football Games of the Week.
The 1:30 p.m. game will be broadcast live from Irwin Belk Stadium and John R. Martin Field on the Internet at http://www.cstv.com/ncaa/divii/. The Carson-Newman at Wingate contest is one of only four Division II football games to be broadcast (via streaming video) by the NCAA on November 3.
Very important note: The CSTV site requires registration. The CSTV registration is free; however, one should register early to avoid the Saturday rush. Wingate fans can also listen to the audio only on Red Zone Media.
The 2007-08 academic year is the second year that the NCAA has offered Division II regular season broadband packages. This fall, Division II football and volleyball games are being aired over the Internet. During the winter, the NCAA will broadcast men's and women's basketball contests on TV and over the Internet.
The NCAA broadcasting involvement includes network television broadcasts, cable television, radio, satellite radio and Internet presentations of every NCAA championship.
Also, Tusculum College has announced that it will be providing live online video streaming of this Saturday's home football game against Mars Hill College. This Saturday will be Senior Day as 14 Pioneers will be playing in their final home football games. Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m. from the Niswonger Sports Complex & Pioneer Field on the Greeneville campus.
Streaming is not intended for dial-up modems and fans must have
high speed Internet access to watch the game online. The telecast
is being produced by revmaMEDIA, with audio provided by the Pioneer
Sports Network.
A link to view the game will be available on the Tusculum Athletic
web site ( www.tusculum.edu/athletics)
and at www.revmamedia.com.
Tusculum (5-4, 3-1 South Atlantic Conference) has won five of its last six games and the Pioneers are looking to climb back into a tie for first place in the league.
