WINGATE, N.C.- The Wingate University football team scored 21
unanswered points in the fourth quarter as the Bulldogs rallied for
a 35-31 South Atlantic Conference victory over Brevard College
Saturday afternoon in Irwin Belk Stadium and John R. Martin Field.
Bulldog junior wide receiver Ben Pinkard (Irmo, S.C.) had a crucial
49-yard punt return to set up a fourth quarter score. Earlier in
the contest, Pinkard returned a BC kick-off 100 yards for

Mars Hill 38, North Greenville 28
MARS HILL, N.C. - Jonas Randolph ran for 202 yards and two
touchdowns to lead the Lions past North Greenville, 38-28, Saturday
afternoon in the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium.
MHC is 3-1 on the season and 2-0 at home after today's win. The

Newberry 24, No. 25 Carson-Newman 3
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Newberry College defense limited
the No. 25 Carson-Newman Eagles to 183 yards of offense and
recovered three fumbles as the Wolves ran away with the game in the
second half on the way to a 24-3 victory. [More]
Catawba 23, Tusculum 21
GREENEVILLE, TN -- Catawba posted its first win of the season,
defeating host Tusculum 23-21 in South Atlantic Conference football
action on Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Field. The Catawba Indians
improve to 1-3 and level its league mark at 1-1. The Pioneers fall
