C-N’s Inman, Tusculum’s Smith, L-R’s Green Earn SAC Football Weekly Awards
ROCK HILL, S.C. - After each putting up impressive numbers in Week 10 of SAC football, Carson-Newman's Nate Inman, Tusculum's Terrence Smith and Lenoir-Rhyne's Michael Green have been named the league's Players of the Week.

Inman, the Offensve Player of the Week, carried Carson-Newman past
Tusculum on Saturday, rushing for 280 yards on 35 carries and two
touchdowns in the Eagles' 35-27 win.
Inman's touchdown runs were of 55 and 69 yards, part of a C-N rushing attack that piled up 350 yards in the first half. He also keyed a late Eagles drive that ate up 11:12 off the fourth-quarter clock with 12 carries for 47 yards, preventing Tusculum from having a chance to tie the game.
Earning Defensive Player of the Week honors was Terrence Smith, who recorded a career-high 17 tackles in Tusculum's loss to Carson-Newman on Saturday. Eight of Smith's tackles were solo, including one quarterback sack.
Smith's 17-tackle performance was the seventh-best in TC history, and the fourth-highest total in the SAC this season.
Finally, Special Teams Player of the Week Michael Green returned a punt 68 yards for a touchdown on Saturday, giving Lenoir-Rhyne a key touchdown that put the Bears up two scores in the fourth quarter of their game against Newberry. L-R went on to win the game, 54-42, tying Mars Hill for first-place in the SAC standings with one week remaining.
On the season, Green leads the SAC in punt return average and has now brought back two for touchdowns.
