Mars Hill’s Randolph Leads AFCA All-America Team
WACO, TEXAS - Mars Hill running back Jonas Randolph, a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy and the SAC's all-time rushing leader, headlines the 2011 AFCA Division II Coaches' All-America Team, which was announced earlier today.
The AFCA has selected an All-America team since 1945 and currently
produces teams in all five of its divisions.
Randolph picked up his third-straight AFCA All-America Team honor by leading the nation in total rushing yards (2,170) and rushing yards per game (197.27). He is just the second player in AFCA history to be named to three-consecutive All-America teams.
The Daleville, Ala., native broke the SAC's single-season rushing record in 2011, and also finished second in the nation in all-purpose yards by averaging 207 per game.
Behind Randolph, Mars Hill won a share of the SAC championship and earned a selection to the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
