Newberry and Lander Climb in NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Two South Atlantic Conference field hockey programs earned spots in this week's Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll, released Tuesday afternoon. Newberry moved up to No. 3 in the nation, while Lander climbed to No. 7.

Newberry (6-0) continued its unbeaten start to the season, rising one spot from last week's ranking. The Wolves secured a signature win with a 2-1 overtime victory against No. 8 Lander, further solidifying their position among the top teams in Division II.

Lander (5-1) also made a move in the poll, jumping from No. 8 to No. 7. Despite the setback against Newberry, the Bearcats remain one of the top defensive teams in the country and continue to build their national profile.
