SAC Field Hockey Tournament Kicks Off with Pair of Quarterfinal Matchups

The South Atlantic Conference Field Hockey Tournament begins this evening with the Quarterfinal round. The third-seeded Lander Bearcats host the 6-seed Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters at 7 p.m. while the 4-seed Wingate Bulldogs play host to the fifth seeded Converse Valkyries at 6 p.m. 

The winner over Lander/LMU will take on the No. 2 seed Belmont Abbey Crusaders on Friday in the Semifinals which are hosted by the top seed in the tournament, the Newberry Wolves. The host Wolves, who are undefeated on the season and rank third in the nation, will play the winner of Wingate vs. Converse.
