Five SAC Student-Athletes Earn NFHCA Division II All-America Honors
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference was well represented on the national stage as five student-athletes from Newberry College, Lander University, and Belmont Abbey College were named to the 2025 NFHCA Division II All-America teams, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
Newberry led the conference with three All-America selections, highlighted by First Team honors for forwards Parker Keeler and Emma Westbrook. Keeler, the SAC Offensive Player of the Year and Atlantic Region Player of the Year, capped a historic season by earning national recognition after finishing among the Division II leaders in goals, assists, and total points while helping guide the Wolves to the SAC Championship and a national runner-up finish. Westbrook also earned First Team distinction following a standout season as one of the team's top scoring threats.
Joining them on the Second Team was Newberry midfielder Payton Keeler, who played a key role in the Wolves' midfield throughout their deep postseason run and earned All-America honors for the first time in her career.
Lander University's Victoria Hulst was named a Second Team All-American after anchoring one of the top defensive units in the South Atlantic Conference. Hulst's consistent play and leadership on the back line helped propel the Bearcats through a strong 2025 campaign.
Belmont Abbey College was represented by defender Sarah Schumacher, who earned Second Team All-America honors. Schumacher, the SAC Defensive Player of the Year, was recognized nationally after a dominant season in which she led one of the conference's top defenses and served as a cornerstone of the Crusaders' success.
The NFHCA Division II All-America teams recognize the top student-athletes in the country based on performance throughout the season. The Division II National Player of the Year will be announced on December 18.
