Tusculum’s Kyle Moore Named Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Tusculum College's Kyle Moore has been named South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player Of The Week, league officials announced today. Moore wins the award for the fourth time this year.
Moore, a junior guard from Gainesville, Fla., averaged 19.0 points and hit 95 percent of his free throw attempts (18-of-19) in leading Tusculum to a 2-0 week with a pair league road victories over Mars Hill (59-55) and Lenoir-Rhyne (80-68) last Wednesday and Saturday, respectively.
Moore started the week with 13 points while hitting two critical
free throws in the final seconds against the Lions before leading
all scorers with 25 points to go along with five three-pointers in
the victory over the Bears.
Moore currently leads the SAC in scoring (20.3 ppg) and has scored 20 or more points in nine games this year. Tusculum (14-6, 6-3) is currently tied for second place in the league standings and is in the midst of a six-game winning streak.
The SAC Men's Basketball Player Of The Week is voted on by the league's sports information directors.
