Catawba Ranked Fourth In Men’s Basketball Region Poll

INDIANAPOLIS - Defending Food Lion South Atlantic Conference men's basketball tournament champion Catawba College is the only SAC team in the season's first NCAA Division II Southeast Region rankings.

The Indians are ranked fourth in the first poll. The regional rankings will be released weekly on Wednesdays through March 3, 2010.

Records are through Sunday, January 24.

Six teams from each of the eight regions will advance to the NCAA Division II tournament. In the Southeast Region, tournament champions from the SAC, Peach Belt and Conference Carolinas will receive an automatic bid.
