Lincoln Memorial Climbs to No. 1 in Men’s Basketball National Rankings
KANSAS CITY - In the midst of a perfect 14-0 start that includes an average scoring margin of nearly 26 points, the Lincoln Memorial men's basketball team has been ranked No. 1 in the latest NCAA Division II/NABC national poll.
LMU becomes the first men's basketball program to reach the poll's top spot in both SAC and program history after receiving 75-percent of this week's first-place votes.
The Railsplitters feature a balanced offensive attack that currently has four players averaging double-digit scoring. LMU has also been dominant on defense, holding opponents to just 35.5-percent shooting on the season.
Lincoln Memorial has both the conference's No. 1 shooting offense and No. 1 field-goal percentage defense.
LMU is currently tied with Anderson atop the SAC standings at 4-0 and boasts an active 27-game home winning streak.
