Lincoln Memorial Ranked No. 2 in NCAA Southeast Regional Poll
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted one team in the NCAA Regional Men's Basketball Rankings, the NCAA announced today. Lincoln Memorial came in at the No. 2 position in the Southeast Regional Poll.
The Railsplitters are currently ranked No. 5 in the nation by the National Basketball Coaches Association (NABC) and sport a record of 20-1 overall. Lincoln Memorial ranks No. 1in the nation in field goal percentage defense as it is holding opponents to just 36 percent from the floor. The Railsplitters also top the nation in three-point field goal defense as teams are managing just 26 percent from downtown.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
