The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Nov. 30

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne forward Rob Noyes has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 23 – 29, the League announced today.
Noyes, a senior from Morganton, N.C., led the Bears to three consecutive victories last week as he averaged 22.0 points per game and made a solid presence under the glass with 32 rebounds. The preseason all-Conference selection shot 84 percent from the floor and posted career-highs with 27 points and 17 rebounds in Lenoir-Rhyne's Conference opening win over Wingate on Nov. 24. The senior also went four-for-six from the line and added four blocks and three assists in the contest. At the Finis Horne Classic in Greenwood, S.C., Noyes brought down nine rebounds and garnered 18 points against Livingstone and finished the week with 21 points, connecting on all eight of his field goals in the 78-61 victory against St. Augustine's. Noyes ranks first in the Conference with 9.7 rebounds per game and field goal percentage with and 82.7 percent stroke. The Bears are off to their best start in 25 seasons. The award marks his first Player of the Week plaudit this season.
