The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Nov. 21

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Newberry forward Musah Sackor has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 14-20, the League announced today.

Sackor, a freshman from Culpeper, Va., averaged 25 points per game and shot 78 percent from the field to lead Newberry to a pair of wins last week.  He highlighted his week with a career-best 34 points on 14-of-19 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the line in a 124-100 win over Southern Wesleyan on Nov 19.  He also chipped in five rebounds and posted one steal in the victory.  Sackor opened his week with 16 points on 88 percent shooting to go along with six boards and a steal as Newberry downed Paine 108-72 on Nov. 18.  The honor marks his first Player of the Week honor this season.
