ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum forward Caleb Hodnett has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played February 11 through February 18, the Conference announced today.
Hodnett, a junior from Adolphus, Ky., led the Pioneers to a 2-0 record last week with SAC wins over Mars Hill (81-73) and Lenoir-Rhyne (56-54). He recorded his third and fourth double-doubles of the season in the wins, scoring 21 points with 10 rebounds against Mars Hill, while netting 20 points with 12 boards versus Lenoir-Rhyne. For the week Hodnett averaged 20.5 points, 11 rebounds and one assist while shooting 62.1 percent from the floor.
This is Hodnett's first Player of the Week selection this season.
