Four South Atlantic Conference Schools Ranked in NCAA Southeast Region Men's Basketball Poll

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference had four schools ranked in this week's NCAA Southeast Region Men's Basketball poll, which was released by the NCAA on Wednesday (March 6). Queens earned the No. 1 spot in the poll, followed by Catawba at No. 4, Lenoir-Rhyne at No. 7 and Lincoln Memorial came in at No. 8.  

In addition to the four SAC schools ranked in this week's poll, there are four schools from the Peach Belt and two from Conference Carolinas.

The Royals of Queens entered the ranking with a 26-3 overall record and are ranked No. 7 in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) national poll.  The Royals have won eight in a row, and have been victorious in 22 of their last 23 games.

Catawba has an overall record of 21-7 and have won eight of their last ten, while Lenoir-Rhyne has an overall record of 19-9 and Lincoln Memorial is 19-8 overall.

The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
