Lenoir-Rhyne's Nesmith Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Basketball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne forward TJ Nesmith has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week thirteen of the 2022-23 season, the Conference announced today.
Nesmith, a senior from Burlington, N.C., averaged 30 points per game with nine rebounds, a steal, and two blocks in last week's games for the Bears. He recorded a double-double with 29 points and 12 rebounds in Lenoir-Rhyne's overtime win against Wingate. He then scored 31 points with six rebounds and a pair of blocks against Tusculum. He shot 61.5 percent from the field and hit 92.3 percent from the charity stripe.
