Lincoln Memorial's Burries Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial guard Me'Kell Burries has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during the final week of the 2022-23 season, the Conference announced today.

Burries, a sophomore from Newport, Ky., led the No. 12 Railsplitters to a 92-79 win over UVA Wise last week to close out the regular season. He scored a career-high 31 points, going 11-for-17 from the field for 64.7 percent and he was 8-for-12 for 66.7 percent from three-point range. Burries added three rebounds to his stat line with an assist.
