Lincoln Memorial Wins 2021 SAC Men's Golf Championship
TAZEWELL, TENN. (TheSAC.com) – The Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters fired a SAC Men's Golf Tournament record 847 (-17) over three rounds to capture the 2021 SAC Men's Golf Championship on Tuesday (April 20). The Railsplitters closed out the tournament at the Woodlake Country Club in Tazewell, Tenn., shooting a two-under-par 286 in the final round.
Limestone placed second shooting 860 (-4) for the tournament, followed by Queens in third (862, -2), Carson-Newman in fourth (863, -1) and Newberry in fifth (869, +5). Wingate came in sixth (886, +22), while Catawba placed seventh (888, +24), and Coker came in eighth (894, +30).
Rounding out the rest of the field were Lenoir-Rhyne in ninth (899, +35), Anderson in 10th (902, +38), Tusculum in 11th (917, +53), UVA Wise in 12th (963, +119), and Mars Hill in 13th (1041, +177).
Individually, Lincoln Memorial's Dan Bradbury set a new SAC Men's Golf Tournament record, carding a three-round total of 196 (-20) to claim tournament medalist honors. Coming in second was LMU's Luke Harries at 206 (-10), followed by Carson-Newman's Jake Mynatt and Limestone's Gage Carnes in third at 213 (-3). Rounding out the top five and the All-Tournament first team were Queens' Ollie Smith and Carson-Newman's Jackson Taylor at 214 (-2).
Earning All-Tournament second team honors were Catawba's Tanner Bibey, Newberry's Tom Bueschges, Limestone's Daniel Aas, and Newberry's Corey Chrzanowski.
With the win, the Railsplitters earn an automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Southeast Region Tournament which will take place May 6-8 in Streamsong, Fla.
