Anderson's McGaha and Lenoir-Rhyne's Finan Named WePlayed Sports Men's and Women's Golfers of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson's Kennedy McGaha was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Golfer of the Week and Lenoir-Rhyne's Sean Finan was named the SAC WePlayed Sports Men's Golfer of the Week for events played during weeks seven and eight of the 2023-24 season, the Conference office announced today. 

McGaha, a junior from Honea Path, S.C., finished third in a highly competitive field of golfers at the St. Leo Invite, carding rounds of 73, 71, and 73 for a 72.33 average for the tournament. She led the Trojans to a second place finish as a team, finishing second to the 2023 NCAA Division II National Runner-up Nova Southeastern.

Finan, a sophomore from Winston-Salem, N.C., took home medalist honors and led the Bears to a team championship at the Lenoir-Rhyne Fall Invitational. Finan fired rounds of 71, 68, and 69 to finish with a 69.3 stroke average for the event, carding a three-round total of 208. He won the tournament by four strokes.

The bi-monthly award is awarded to the top golfer in the SAC based on their results from the previous two weeks of play.
