Tusculum Sweeps South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Astroturf Players of the Week Honors
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the first weekend of the 2021 season. Tusculum's Braden Elam garnered the offensive honor, and teammate Nathan Fraser collected the defensive honor.
A senior attacker, Elam helped lead the Pioneers to a 14-5 win over non-conference opponent Alderson Broaddus this past weekend. The Maineville, OH., native netted five points on three goals while a pair of ground balls. This is Elam's first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
A senior forward Fraser, went 14-for-16 on faceoffs and picked up 14 groundballs in their season opener this past weekend. The Kamloops, B.C., native recorded the third-most ground balls in a single game in the program's history and contributed to a 35-11 edge in ground balls. This is Geiger's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
