Wingate Sweeps South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the fourth weekend of the 2021 season. Wingate's Adam Vodovnik garnered the offensive honor, while teammate Edward Erickson collected the defensive honor.

A senior attacker and the nation's leader in goals per game Vodovnik, had another big game with a 12-3 win over #5 Limestone this past weekend. The Bloomington, Minn., native netted six points on six goals while also picking up five ground balls and one caused turnover. This is Vodovnik's second Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

A senior goalie Erickson, helped the Bulldogs lock in their thrilling win over #5 Limestone. The Portland, Ore., native totaled 10 saves limiting the Saints to only three goals and a second half shutout. This is Erickson's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
