The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the ninth weekend of the 2021 season. Catawba's Matt Mitchell garnered the offensive honor while Limestone's Jordan Stouros collected the defensive honor.

A sophomore attacker from Palm City, Fla., Mitchell, helped the Catawba Indians to a 16-8 win over Mars Hill this past weekend. He tallied nine points on seven goals, while also adding three ground balls, one caused turnover and two assists. This is Mitchell's first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

A senior long stick midfielder Stouros, was instrumental in securing the Saints 16-11 win over Anderson this past week. Overall, the Ottawa, Ontario, native tallied six caused turnovers, 12 ground balls and one goal. This is Stouros' first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
