The South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for 2021 Men's Lacrosse Championship

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne won the South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Men's Lacrosse Championship title after closing out the regular season with a 9-1 record in SAC play. With the title, the Bears have earned the No. 1 seed in next week's South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship.

Wingate finished the SAC portion of its schedule with an 8-1 record to earn the No. 2 seed.  Limestone earned the No. 3 seed with a conference record of 7-3. Newberry earned the No. 4 seed with 6-3 conference record, while 3-4 Tusculum slid into the No. 5 seed. 

Coker rounded out the field in the No. 6 seed with a 4-6 record in conference play.

Lenoir-Rhyne and Wingate each earned a bye to semifinals.  The quarterfinals will be played on Tuesday, April 20 at campus sites with the semifinals and finals taking place at Moretz Stadium in Hickory, N.C. on April 23 and 25.  The tournament schedule is listed below:

Game 2: #4 Newberry vs. #5 Tusculum, TBD

Friday, April 23 (Hickory, N.C.)

Game 3: #1 Lenoir-Rhyne vs. winner game 2, 11:00 a.m.
Game 4: #2 Wingate vs. winner game 1, 1:30 p.m.

Sunday, April 25 (Hickory, N.C.)

Game 5: winner game 3 vs. winner game 4, 1:00 p.m.
