Three SAC Men's Lacrosse Teams Ranked in NCAA South Region Poll
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference had three schools ranked in the NCAA South Region Men's Lacrosse poll released by the NCAA on Wednesday (Apr. 21). Limestone, Wingate and Lenoir- Rhyne are all under consideration for this year's NCAA South Region Championship.
In addition to the three SAC schools ranked in this week's poll, there were four other schools under consideration: Lindenwood (MO), Colorado Mesa, Tampa and Mount Olive.
For this week's rankings and next week's rankings, teams will be listed as under consideration in alphabetical order. Teams will be listed in rank order for the final regional rankings on May 5.
Limestone has a 9-3 record, Wingate is 10-1, and Lenoir-Rhyne is 11-1.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
