Lenoir-Rhyne and Wingate Men's Lacrosse Ranked in NCAA South Region Poll
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference had two schools ranked in the NCAA South Region Men's Lacrosse poll released by the NCAA on Wednesday (May, 5). Lenoir-Rhyne came in at the No. 1 spot, while Wingate earned the No. 2 spot.
In addition to the three SAC schools ranked in this week's poll, Mount Olive was ranked No. 3, followed by Belmont Abbey at No. 4, Tampa at No. 5, UIndy at No. 6 and closing out the poll was Colorado Mesa at No. 7 for the South Region.
After finishing the regular season Lenoir-Rhyne is 13-1 and Wingate is 11-2.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
