Catawba Sweeps South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the eighth weekend of the 2022 season. Catawba's Bakari Neely garnered the offensive honor while teammate Tyler Holland collected the defensive honor.

A sophomore midfielder from Toledo, OH., Neely, helped the Catawba Indians to a 1-0 record past weekend. He tallied five points on five goals for a 71.4 shot percentage. This is Neely's first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

A junior goalie, Holland, helped his team secure the 1-0 record after facing conference opponent Anderson this past weekend. Overall, the Greensboro, N.C., native spent 30 minutes between the posts with 11 saves for a 78.6 save percentage. This is Holland's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
