Lenoir-Rhyne, Limestone and Wingate Earn Bids to 2022 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Three South Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse teams have earned bids to the 2022 NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse South Regional, the NCAA announced Sunday, May 8.
This year's South Atlantic conference Champions the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears were tabbed as the No. 4 seed in the south region, while Limestone earned the No. 2 seed. Wingate came in at No. 6 and will face the No. 3 seed Lindenwood. The Bears are set to take on the No. 5 seed UIndy and the Saints have earned a first-round bye.
The championship provides for a 12-team tournament. Six teams from each of the two regions (North and South) are selected to participate in the men's lacrosse championship. Except for the championship game, all games will be played on the campus of one of the competing teams. First round competition is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11.
The 2022 DII men's lacrosse championship is Sunday, May 29, at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut.
